SCARLETTA v.LAW SOCIETY hatte ich ungesehen fuer 700 Euro gekauft,da ich mich an ihre Mutter gut erinnern konnte,weil ich sie auf Gestuet Roettgen sowohl auf Video als auch auf Photos aufgenommen hatte.

Als ein Beispiel fuer Vollblut Stuten,die sich sehr gut bewegen konnten,im Gebaeude fuer die WBZ passten,aber auch aus einer wertvollen Rennabstammung kamen.

Ihre Mutter : SAFWAH stammte von AHONOORA - ueber den ich ja hier schon viel geschrieben habe.

Ein weiterer Grund war,dass ihr Pedigree aehnlich aufgebaut war ,wie das der Mutter meines XX-Hengstes : RIDGMONT

RIDGIDUCT von AHONOORA aus einer SALLUST Mutter.

Und da der von mir gezogene Gr II Sieger OLASO ebenfalls von LAW SOCIETY stammte und sich bewegen konnte,ging ich eben das Risiko ein die Stute ungesehen zu kaufen.

Ask any racing fan to name the best horses of the early 1930s and you are likely to hear names like Equipoise, Twenty Grand, Gallant Fox, Discovery, Cavalcade, Top Flight, and Sun Beau. That is to be expected. All were considered champions in their respective divisions; all are in the Hall of Fame.

But there is one name that rarely gets mentioned, and that is terribly unfortunate, for he was without a doubt one of the toughest and most courageous horses of his generation. During a career that spanned four years, he made fifty-seven starts, won twenty-three of them and placed in eighteen others. He averaged 14.25 starts per year, and earned $89,375—a very respectable sum considering how small Depression-era purses were in the handicap division.

The horse’s name? Dark Secret.

Eblouissante Avoided Serious Injury in Mishap



Zenyatta's half sister Eblouissante, scratched from an allowance race Dec. 15 at Betfair Hollywood Park after banging herself in the receiving barn, apparently avoided serious injury.

The 3-year-old filly appeared fine the morning after the incident, according to trainer John Shirreffs.

"She's good this morning," said a relieved Shirreffs. "It was a contusion or abrasion. It took some hair off and it's bruised. We're treating it topically now. We iced it about four or five times (Saturday). She's walking good on it so we're going to take her out and train her and see how she handles it."

Shirreffs explained how the accident happened.

"The horses go to the receiving barn and the man says put your horses in the stalls,'' he said. "They come out of the stalls in post position order, and sometimes they get a little anxious because they see the horse leaving in front of them. Sometimes they want to come out of the door a little more on the muscle than they should.

"She didn't jump through the door or anything, she just wiggled through the side and leaned a thousand pounds into her hip on the edge of the door. She bruised it pretty good."

"I called the vet over because when she came out of the door, she didn't want to put her foot down. She bruised it, so it was stinging her a little bit. We walked her a couple of steps and she wasn't walking properly. That's when I asked the vet to come over and take a look at her and said to scratch her."
