Tragisch auch,dass Steve Cauthen was taken off AFFIRMED ,da er absolut keine Form hatte,in ueber 100 Rennen konnte er nicht ein einziges gewinnen.

Nun die Geschichte ALYDAR's gebrochenes Bein - Mafia ? - nach der Operation,brach er noch einen Knochen und musste getoetet werden.
Dann die Geruechte : 36.500.000$ Versicherung - da muss was faul gewesen sein !

Wir werden es nie wissen !

Der Top Tierarzt glaubt,dass es ein Unfall war,nicht aber ALYDAr's Trainer.

Champion Gio Ponti niftily split horses in deep stretch and went on to win the $600,000 Shadwell Turf Mile (gr. IT) Oct. 9 at Keeneland to notch his sixth grade I score.

J. B.'s Thunder earned his way into the Breeders' Cup Grey Goose Breeders' Cup Juvenile (gr. I) (VIDEO) with a front-running romp in the $400,000 Dixiana Breeders' Futurity (gr. I) at Keeneland Oct. 9.

Sent off a 5-1, J. B.'s Thunder widened his advantage on the final turn of the 1 1/16-mile test for 2-year-olds and cruised to a four-length victory for jockey Shaun Bridgmohan.
Al Stall Jr. trains the winning son of Thunder Gulch --Rebridled Dreams, by Unbridled's Song, for owner Columbine Stable. J. B.'s Thunder is unbeaten in two starts, having broken his maiden on the Saratoga turf at 1 1/16 miles Aug. 21.
"I had a feeling he’d leave on his toes today. He had been so sharp," Stall said. "He had a chance to school around here and get comfortable. Obviously he did, and Shaun just took it to ‘em."
In spite of his easy win, Stall said running in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Nov. 6 at Churchill Downs "is very much 50-50 at best.”
“We’ll probably go to Fair Grounds and point for the Delta (Downs) Jackpot (gr. III) or the Lecomte (gr. III).
The Jackpot is Nov. 20 at Delta Downs while the Lecomte is Jan. 22 at Fair Grounds.
Late-running Santiva closed much ground in the stretch to finish second by a nose, with Willcox Inn third. The final time was 1:44.12 over the speed-favoring Polytrack.
Favored Major Gain recovered from a hard bump at the half-mile pole to launch a bid before fading to fifth.
J. B.'s Thunder took the lead soon after the start for Bridgmohan, setting the pace from off the rail over Brickyard Fast, Silver Medallion and Typhoon Slew early. J. B.'s Thunder maintained at least a length's advantage over Typhoon Slew, who moved into second on the outside for Julien Leparoux with Major Gain and Rough Sailing also in striking position. The splits -- :24.19, :48.,64 and 1:13.40 -- were ordinary and J. B.'s Thunder inched away rounding the turn to take a commanding lead coming into the stretch.
Asked for more in upper stretch, J. B.'s Thunder extended his control to three lengths at the eighth pole and he came home under a steady drive from Bridgmohan.
“He’s a versatile horse, smart head on his shoulder," Bridgmohan said. "It just happened that he inherited the lead, and we just nursed it around there.”

Maiden Santiva, 10th early for Javier Castellano after bearing in at the start and bumping Conservative Value, made a five-wide bid on the final turn and finished up strongly to pip Willcox Inn, ridden along the inside by Garrett Gomez, for second.
Because of the poor break, Castellano said he little choice but to make one run with Santiva. "When I asked him he passed a lot horses at one time and he finished so good today,” he said.

Typhoon Slew was 1 1/4 lengths back in fourth. He was followed by Major Gain, Rough Sailing, Silver Medallion, Maybesomaybenot, Lou Brissie, Conservative Value and Brickyard Fast.
“I don’t have too much excuse with my horse," jockey Junior Alvarado said of the 5-2 choice Major Gain, who won the Arlington-Washington Futurity (gr. III) in his previous start. "He broke real sharp and took up a real nice position all the way. When I started asking he just responded. He went steady all the way, but it wasn’t enough.”

The winning purse of $240,000 pushed J. B.'s Thunder's bankroll to $270,600. The bay colt, a $42,000 Keeneland yearling buy in September 2009, was bred in Kentucky by Coffeepot Stable.
The second choice in the field of 11 at equal weights of 121 pounds, J. B.'s Thunder paid $13.60, $7.20 and $5 and keyed an $80 exacta. Santiva, with two seconds and a third in three lifetime starts for trainer Todd Pletcher, returned $7.80 and $5.20 in his stakes debut. Willcox Inn, who defeated maidens in his only previous start for trainer Michael Stidham, was $5.60 to show.

A 20-runner field of bravehearts will tackle a total of 31 fearsome obstacles - among them the daunting Taxis, arguably the most notorious fence in the sport - over a mix of grass and light plough in a supreme test of equine ability and stamina. Plus human horsemanship.

Britain is represented by Mr Big (Charlie Mann/Noel Fehily), who was 16th last year.
Ireland's Ken Whelan also returns to ride Ile En Reve, last of 19 finishers in 2009 for Irish trainer Oliver McKiernen but now technically trained in the Czech Republic.
Lambourn trainer Charlie Mann is a regular at Pardubice, having won the great race - both as jockey and trainer - back in 1995 with It's A Snip, the first British-trained winner since Stephen's Society back in 1973 for Arthur Stephenson.

Mann said: "Mr Big is a 110-rated horse and I think goes there with a genuine chance. I know he only came 16th in the race last year but he has had experience of two cross-country races since then at Cheltenham including a fourth, which is the nearest type of race we get to the Pardubicka in the UK.
"The race is run quite steadily which will suit him, as he likes to go forward early and he jumps very well."
Mr Big was fifth in a handicap chase at Stratford last month on his first outing for five months ahead of the Pardubicka.
‘That was a pleasing comeback a couple of weeks ago and he's been in Prague now for a couple of days settling in," added Mann.
"Noel Fehily has ridden three times before in the race so all the boxes are ticked and we're all set. I wouldn't put anyone off backing him.
"It's a wonderful occasion, the race is like no other in the world and is a truly great spectacle. There's also fantastic prize-money on offer with the race worth £160,000 and it's an experience I always like to be part of."

Mr Big is sure to be an outsider in the Czech race, where rivals are headed by last year's one-two Tiumen(ridden and trained by Josef Vana) and dual winner Sixteen (Josef Vana/Josef Bartos), runner-up in 2009 as he attempted to complete a hat-trick.
Trainer Josef Vana, who was 57 when he rode last year's winner, is a Pardubicka legend, having trained the winner seven times altogether, including the last four runnings.
He has won the race six times as a jockey, among them four triumphs on the great Zeleznik (1987-89 and 1991).

Questarabad a step closer to Cheltenham

The 2009 French Champion Hurdle winner Questarabad (Marcel Rolland/Regis Schmidlin) movedone small step closer to a possible tilt at Cheltenham in March with an impressive winning comeback as he took the Prix de Compiegne for the second year running.
Plagued by injury and then beaten a distance Mandali and Christophe Soumillon in the Grande Course de Haies d'Auteuil last spring, Questarabad was ridden closer to the pace this time, when placed second throughout by Schmidlin.
