Vielleicht lassen sich noch mehrere Vollblueter finden - ich meine aber nicht aus der Vergangenheit ,wie KEEN etc !
Hier ein Bericht aus der amerikanischen Pferde-Zeitschrift : THE CHRONICLE OF THE HORSE vom 30.April 2012 :
"Off The Track And Into The Ring
Silva Martin first saw the bay Thoroughbred Sea Lord as a
young horse in 2007 at Olympic eventer Phillip Dutton's farm
in West Grove, Pa., where she and her husband, Boyd Martin,
were then based. "He was so big and abeautiful mover," she
remembered. "But he was aterrible show jumper. Itold Phil I'd
like to ride him. Finally he called me and said, 'Youcan have the
horse.' He's such a quiet and honest horse, and hejust gotbetter
and better and better."
The 17-hand gelding, who's called Big Bird (Sea Salute-
Graceful Glory, Heros Honor), soon began racking up
the honors, including the 2011GAIG/USDF Region 1
Intermediaire II Championship. The pair also performed
a memorable freestyle for the Potomac Valley Dressage
Association's Ride For Life Dancing Horse Challenge (Md.).
Silva trained him to Grand Prix and rode him until last year,
when he was sold to Charish Campbell.
Silvahas nothing but raves for the breed. ''When you get a
Thoroughbred that loves dressage, it's very exciting," she said.
"They don't get tired, and they're so smart. Warmbloods are
built for collection, but Sea Lord has this incredible suspension."
