Offenbar mangelt es dafür leider an Zeit und Intensität sowohl in der Ausbildung an sich als auch in der Beziehung zwischen Pferd und Reiter... -

Breeding is not the cause of the fact that indeed very few new real cracks emerge. In the last ten, fifteen years, countries like Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and France -in this order of quality- have spawned a lot of jumping talent. But while the standard of breeding kept going up, the schooling of the horses went into the opposite direction; downhill.
The readiness to spend a lot of time with and give attention to the horses and to really understand what each individual horse needs, none of this has exactly grown along with the development of the global equestrian sport.
